BWRT®

BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT) - an exciting new type of psychotherapy that gets results - FAST

  • Have you ever wanted to achieve success in some area of your life, but something inside of you sabotages your efforts?
  • Have you ever blurted out something, and wondered "why did I say that"?
  • Have you ever been held back by negative feelings like anxiety or fear?
  • Have you ever gone bright red or come out in blotches or felt weak in social situations?

BWRT® helps to shift those stubborn responses and replace them with a new preferred response, for example being confident, calm and in control.

People all over the world are experiencing breakthroughs with BWRT®. It's different. It's innovative. It's natural. It doesn't involve drugs. It's easy. It works. It's powerful. Finding the answer to your problems might be as simple as asking the right questions.

    Q:"Can BWRT® help me?"
Q: "Is the brain capable of change?"
Q:"Is it possible to train my brain to react the way I want to respond?"

The answer is YES to all the above. It is possible to change the way you automatically think, feel and respond to situations. One way to do this is by using the incredible power of BWRT®.

"BWRT® has the potential to permanently change the face of psychotherapy. Lives are transformed in record time without the need to uncover the source of the dysfunction, resulting in virtually instant benefits for the patient, like the reduction and elimination of debilitating symptoms." - Dr Ian Opperman, Clinical Psychologist.

BWRT® stands for BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®. It is a type of psychotherapy carried out in a conscious state of awareness. We work with what you want to change and how you want to feel. The process is content free, so you won't need to tell me your secrets, you don't have to share the ins and outs of the problem with me. It's totally confidential and gets quick results.

BWRT® is approved by the British BrainWorking Research Society (BBRS) so you can feel confident that you are in safe hands. Mary is a Founder Member of the BBRS and is involved in ongoing research projects. Click here to find out more about the BBRS

Training covers: General Psychopathology; Psychology of Identity and Behaviour; Psychophysiology (mind & body)

    Speed Is The Essence

Research tells us that by the time a stimulus (event) has entered conscious awareness, it has already travelled approximately 50 meters of neural pathways in the brain. It travels at the speed of 225 miles per hour through the network of neurons to find a response. According to neuroscience, the brain chooses what response to make by testing approximately 10,000 possible options to find the best match, it searches for a pattern, and the best match will always be one that was used before at least once and led to survival every time. If this response was accompanied by a surge of emotion it will be considered very important, and will take priority over other similar patterns.

    The Triune Brain

Neuroscientist, Paul MacLean describes 3 very distinct parts to the brain, which he collectively calls The Triune Brain (shown above). Neocortex is capable of thought and conscious awareness. The Limbic System is all about our emotions and Reptilian Brain is only interested in keeping us safe, reproduction, eating and territorial rights. The interesting thing is, the Limbic System and the Reptilian Brain cannot think.

On the 225 mph journey through the brain, data travels through two areas of the brain that are not designed to think (Reptilian Brain and Limbic System* (*also known as Emotional Brain), so by the time it gets to the thinking part (Neocortex) the decision has already been made, and action has been initiated based on past experience and pattern matching. Every thought is the result of the brain's speedy monitoring process. That's why you may sometimes blurt out something without thinking, and then ask yourself "Why on earth did I say that?" During therapy, we use this incredible speed to ensure your preferred response to an event is the chosen response in future. We work in the cognitive gap between commencement and awareness of a physical or psychological response.

    The science behind BWRT®

The science behind BWRT® is based on the work of a scientist called Benjamin Libet. In 1983, his research and experiments showed that all decisions are made by the physical brain more than one third of a second before we are aware of them, that is 330 milliseconds to be precise. In fact, a response is initiated by the brain before we are consciously aware, in terms of action, thought, feelings or behaviour. Neuroplasticity of the brain means that the brain is capable of changes throughout the life of an individual and things are "wired" into place with repetition. This discovery poses a lot of questions to do with free will and choice. However, using the power of BWRT® we can interrupt the normal response early on so that we make a new choice rather than just acting out an old unhelpful pattern.

    Jealousy

Hear how BWRT helped to change things for the better.

    BWRT®. Pandora's Box Wide

    BWRT® enhances relationships too!

Jealousy can spoil a perfectly good relationship and if you have ever been jealous of someone or something, you will know how unpleasant it can be. Insecure feelings can bubble up to the surface in a split second. For example, a text to say "I'm working late" or "I'm going for a drink at the pub with my friends" can often trigger a person who suffers from jealousy into a bad mood and this can result in stress, anger, anxiety or over-thinking. Thoughts such as "what if… he/she goes off with someone else?" or "what if… he/she finds someone else attractive?" can lie under the surface.

If you are prone to jealousy, you may have worried and imagined your partner having fun with the opposite sex, or leaving you for someone else. This kind of thinking can result in a total personality change, from a happy state to a very insecure state of being, and it can last hours or even days. Even if your logical side argues and says there is nothing to worry about, the body has already been triggered into the unpleasant symptoms that jealousy brings. It's a bit like Pandora's Box - once the lid has been lifted, jealousy comes out and spoils everything.

BWRT® can knock the socks off jealousy and watch it dissolve right before your eyes. One of my recent clients used to suffer from extreme jealousy any time he was stressed and it was spoiling his happiness - well no more - he was able to swap jealousy and insecurity for trust and love and not worry about what could or could not happen in his absence.

BWRT works from the inside out, redirecting the neural pathway at an early stage of brain activity, before conscious awareness. The symptoms of jealousy and insecurity are literally disconnected from the usual trigger allowing a person to think logically and feel calm or any other feeling they would prefer to feel instead.

All Pandora got was misery and pain when she opened her box. Don't let jealousy spoil your life, let BWRT help you. Read more about BWRT HERE or Click here to Get In Touch
